FMB Sketch Retrieval
The official Field Measurement Book sketch of your parcel — traced and retrieved. The FMB (Field Measurement Book) sketch is the government's authoritative map of a survey number's shape, dimensions and boundaries. You need it for sub-division, boundary disputes, fencing, loans and a clean sale. NOS retrieves the correct FMB and matches it to your parcel on the ground.
Understand the service
What is the FMB sketch?
The Field Measurement Book (FMB) sketch — also called the Tippan — is the survey department's authoritative drawing of a parcel: its boundaries, dimensions and survey number. It's the map that a records check (RoR / passbook) or a field survey is measured against. This service retrieves the sketch itself. A latest, digitised sketch is fixed-price and quick; historical, non-digitised, damaged or disputed cases involve a record-room search and get a proper assessment first. It is a records-retrieval service — if you need a surveyor to physically measure the land, that's our Survey Verification (LRM) service.
How it works on the ground
The government process is scattered across portals, offices and paperwork. NOS turns it into one guided flow.
The reality on the ground
What you face today in TG & AP
Held by the Survey & Settlement / revenue department; old sketches are hand-drawn, faded, or filed under superseded numbers.
After resurvey (LPM), the new parcel map may not match the old FMB — extent and boundaries can shift.
Retrieval needs a formal application, fee and a survey-number cross-check most owners can't do themselves.
Impossible to obtain and verify remotely without someone at the mandal survey office.

What we handle
How it works
- 01Step 1
Free feasibility check
Tell us the parcel and which sketch you need. A latest, digitised FMB with a known survey number is the fixed-price fast lane.
- 02Step 2
Case Manager assigned
A dedicated Case Manager is assigned and you can message them right away — before you pay.
- 03Step 3
We retrieve the sketch
We pull the FMB from Bhu Bharati (TG) / MeeBhoomi (AP); for historical or non-digitised sketches we search the survey record-room on your behalf.
- 04Step 4
Sketch delivered
DeliveredYour FMB lands in your dashboard — as a plain copy or a certified, digitally-signed PDF, and by courier if you want a printed copy.
What you'll typically need
- The parcel — survey / sub-division number (a deed or village + owner also works)
- Which sketch you need — latest, certified, historical, or a physical archive copy
- State and district; owner / pattadar name as recorded (if known)
- For historical sketches: the year(s) or period you need
Don't know the survey number, or not sure the record exists? Say so honestly in the questionnaire — a deed or village + owner name usually lets us derive it, and your Case Manager will help identify the parcel before any chargeable search.
Made for NRIs. No trips home. No local runaround. No language barrier. Manage the entire process from your phone, in your own timezone — while NOS handles the counters, the paperwork and the follow-ups.
