Apostille / MEA Attestation

Get Indian documents apostilled or attested by the MEA for use abroad. To use an Indian document overseas — for jobs, study, visas, marriage or business — it usually needs MEA apostille (Hague countries) or embassy attestation, after prior notary / state authentication. Skip a layer and the destination country rejects it. NOS runs the full attestation chain and returns the documents to you.

Understand the service

What we can help with

International document authentication is handled by the Ministry of External Affairs together with your state authority — the Telangana HRD / Home Department (Hyderabad Secretariat) or the Andhra Pradesh GAD (Amaravati) — and, for non-Hague countries, the destination-country embassy in India. For a Hague Convention country (the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, most of the EU), an Apostille is the final step. For the Gulf states, Germany and other non-Hague destinations, MEA attestation is followed by embassy legalization. A single personal or PCC document with everything in hand is straightforward and fixed-price. Educational documents (university + HRD/GAD verification), multiple documents, translations and embassy cases take more work; legal / court documents, prior rejections, closed institutions and foreign-issued documents are handled by an expert. If a document genuinely can't be authenticated, we'll say so plainly and recommend the fix.

How it works on the ground

The government process is scattered across portals, offices and paperwork. NOS turns it into one guided flow.

The reality on the ground

What you face today

4 hurdles

Requires a sequence: notary, then state (SDM / HRD / Home), then MEA apostille / attestation, sometimes embassy.

Requirements differ by document type (educational, personal, commercial) and destination country.

Originals must be handled physically and securely — risky via ordinary courier.

Managing the chain and couriering originals is exactly what NRIs can't do from abroad.

How it works

  1. 01
    Step 1

    Tell us what you need

A short questionnaire — the destination country, the document type, and its condition. We determine whether you need an Apostille, MEA attestation, or full embassy legalization; you never need to know which applies.

  2. 02
    Step 2

    Case Manager assigned

A dedicated Case Manager is assigned and you can message them before you pay. A single clean Apostille is fixed-price; multi-document, Gulf-embassy, educational and translation cases get a clear plan and price first.

  3. 03
    Step 3

    We attest & coordinate

We handle notary, state attestation (Home Dept / HRD / GAD), the MEA Apostille or attestation, and the destination embassy in India — plus certified translation and delamination where needed.

  4. 04
    Step 4

    Authenticated & tracked

    Delivered

Every step is tracked in your dashboard against the MEA and embassy status, with the finished documents couriered to you in India or abroad — or an e-Apostille PDF where accepted.

What you'll typically need

  • The destination country (and state / province for the USA, Canada or Australia)
  • The document(s) — original or certified copy, in good condition (laminated certificates need delamination)
  • Your passport, and the issuing institution / authority details
  • Whether you're abroad (we handle international courier both ways and coordinate remotely)

Not sure whether your destination needs an Apostille or full embassy legalization? Pick “help me identify it” — we'll confirm the exact pathway and steps for you.

Made for NRIs. No trips home. No local runaround. No language barrier. Manage the entire process from your phone, in your own timezone — while NOS handles the counters, the paperwork and the follow-ups.
